Chapel close consists of 11 high quality 3 to 5 bed homes in the second phase of a small cul-de-sac development in Clifton, Bedfordshire. PEP acted as the civil and structural design Engineers, including private and adoptable drainage, as well as adoptable Highway turning head and associated drainage.

As part of Arla’s construction of their new £100m dairy facility near Aylesbury, PEP undertook the design of the adoptable spine roads on site, as well as the offsite Highway upgrades. This included the widening of College Road, and the conversion of two sets of mini roundabouts to signalised junctions, within Aylesbury to facilitate supply traffic.

The 450,000 sqr ft distribution centre will act as a new distribution hub for a major retail chain. It sits adjacent to the M6 and is said to provide 500 jobs for the running of the centre. 

PEP were appointed as structural and civil engineers for the project. The 250m long centre comprises of a set of 30m long portal frames, trusses and cellular beams built off a grillage of over 5000 driven square piles and caps and TwinTec fibre reinforced ground slab.

The SUDS drainage scheme for the site is highly complex, as the site was virtually flat with only a 500mm deep outfall ditch to one boundary.

 

PEP have provided a drainage solution incorporating many shallow SUDS features as part of an integrated landscape approach, including wetlands, swales, dry ponds, rills, permeable paving etc. which has avoided the need for a storm water pump solution.

PEP are pleased to announce the successful completion of Cambridge Biomedical park a research centre that combines world-class biomedical research, patient care and education on a single site.   PEP worked with Countryside Properties, and its stakeholders, to complete the infrastructure enabling works by creating the new southern access road round to the existing Robinson way.  The site includes landmark buildings and will be occupied by Cambridge University Hospital, Papworth Hospital, The Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK and will also include a new energy centre.
