Over a three year period PEP acted as consultants for a series of 60 bed Nursing Homes within Hertfordshire, with some facilities including Day Care Centres.

The homes are Woodlands in South Oxhey, Vesta Lodge and Fosse House in St Albans, Hailey Hall in Hoddesdon, Great Brookmead in Borehamwood, Heath House in Bushey, Greenacres in Hatfield, Oakland Home in Potters Bar as well as sites in Baldock, Watford and a 20 bed extension to an existing nursing home in Hertford.

All projects were of timber framed construction on power floated ground floor slabs, some of which were suspended. Foundation solutions varied. As well as foundations and substructure works, PEP were also responsible site drainage schemes and access roads.

The building is of traditional construction, with loadbearing masonry walls supporting precast concrete floors. Foundations are of traditional trench fill construction.

The building was designed to accommodate concrete pod en-suite shower rooms.
